Very intense, with dark background and red cherry edging.
Expressive, deep, elegant. Perfectly integrated with the wood.
Ripe black fruit, in the line of the plum and blackberry. Mineral notes and great quality sweet spices, the feelings of spicy black chocolate and black fruit.
Voluminous, ample, ripe and fresh black fruit, mineral, a subtle remembrance of the cocoa. Refreshing and balsamic notes of aromatic plants in the pine forest.
Great quality tannin. Delicious aftertaste where all the aromas and flavours are blended. Delightful feeling in the mouth, combining powerful and elegance.
Superb wine from a marvellous harvest. Clearly remembers the sensation of the landscape, pines among the sand, rockroses, wild marjoram, lavender…, forged during the impeccable ripening of 2011.
After a cold and rainy winter (-11ºC in December) spring was unusually warm, especially in July (max. 38ºC), and April brought the necessary rain for a good sprouting.
July was cooler, still on the dry side, followed by a hot August and a very fine September that resulted in an excellent ripening. The whole summer and the beginning of the Autumn were dry.
The veraison took place earlier than usual, in tune with the 09 vintage, and the health in the vineyard was outstanding. An early harvest, excellent in quality and ripening. The rainfall throughout the cycle was 520 mm.
Harvest: started on Sep 19th, finished on Oct 5th.
Effective Heat Summation: 1.530,41
