A new vision
about the Tinta del País
The wines from Bodegas LA HORRA are governed by three basic concepts: avoiding excess wood, avoiding over-ripening -maintaining freshness- and carrying out a very careful extraction to favor the fineness of the tannin. The CORIMBO project is based on the respect for the environment and a big effort in R + D + i.
An agreement was reached with the brothers Pedro and Pablo Balbás. They are vine growers in the area, linked to the vineyard for generations, with 40 hectares of old and middle-aged vineyards, in the best plots of La Horra and Roa.
The vineyard is cultivated with the utmost respect for the environment, following the lines of organic viticulture. The objective is to make wines that are a faithful reflection of the landscape of the Ribera del Duero from Burgos, adding elegance and freshness to the characteristic strength of the region's "tinta fina".
Bodegas LA HORRA presents a new vision on Ribera del Duero Tempranillo, taking advantage of its knowledge and experience accumulated in so many years of work in La Rioja. In the same way, Bodegas LA HORRA has applied existing synergies in the technical, management, research, R & D & i fields and the commercial distribution of RODA wines and oils. Our ultimate goal is, as our director Agustín Santolaya indicates, "trying to make the Ribera del Duero landscape drink in a more transparent way."
