Tasting:

Colour:

Good layer. With a very intense red colour with a dark red background and purple notes in the rim.

Nose:

Very expressive, deep, with a fruit character above the oak, almost imperceptible.

Red and black fruit, inthe line of the cherry and blackberry. A freshness feeling.

Light spicy notes in the line of the fresh ground black pepper.

Mineral remembrances which bring into the mindthe smell ofthe fresh roots from the land.

The aromatic espression is growing with a predominance of the fruit over the rest of components.

Palate:

Medium volume, full, enveloping volume without troughs. Great fruit feeling and very fresh.

It appears the same nuances that areperceivedin nose, it dominates the game of the red and black fruit, but it also appears the mineral character and the fine spicy.

The retronasal passage aromas are perceived again.

The tannin is present with a very good quality, marking the youth of the wine.

Long, with a good acidity which gives a pleasant freshness together with a fullness feeling.

Harmony:

A harmonious and balanced wine. Nose and palate very coherent, in which emphasize the fruits and the freshness.

The result is a Ribera with race and personality, very pleasant to be enjoyed.

HARVEST:

  • A dry winter and very wet spring accompanied by low temperatures, which resulted in late budding and an interruption of vegetative growth in those vineyards where budding had already occurred.
  • Frost, especially on 4th and 5th October with -3ºC, which conditioned the harvest.
  • 462 mm. rainfall. Harvest from 23rd to 27th October.
  • A very difficult vintage, with lower-volume and very fresh wines.
