Tasting:

Colour:

Intense red colour of cherry background and lively edging.

Nose:

Intense with very fruit notes in the range of cherry, plum and blackberry, forming a set where the red fuit predominates.

Very delicate feeling of fine wood perfectly integrated with the fruits that give a cosy feeling.

Slightly spicy in the line of the aromatic herbs in the pine forest and a clove background that makes it enigmatic.

Palate:

Medium volume and great expressivity, soft with a fresh and fine tannin. With good texture.

Fruity feeling or red fruits in which emphasize the cherry.

It is wraparound and caressing.

Elegant, long, fresh and silky, a wine to enjoy.

The 2012 was a fresh and dry vintage in Ribera and the wines are marked by a line of finesse and balance.

HARVEST:

  • The harvest was marked by a great drought, 263mm. rainfall which came after another very dry year 301mm. rainfall in 2011.
  • During the April month was collected during the whole cycle more than a quarter of the rainfall.
  • May was warm and the budding was very good.
  • After the great drought during the summer, the ripeness was good due to the rains that arrived just in time in September and the thermal gap between the night and day.
  • The average temperatures were lower than those of 2011 and 2009 but higher than those of 2010. The heat summation led the same road.
  • The wines are less full-bodied than 2011 but more fresh and balanced.
