bottle of Corimbo 2012

2012 is the new vintage of CORIMBO, a wine 100% Tinta del País, the result of a sustainable viticulture with bush vineyards in the environment of La Horra and Roa (Burgos). CORIMBO 2012 is a wine marked by a line of fineness and balance, typical of a fresh and dry vintage in Ribera del Duero.

The harvest was marked by a great drought, which came after another very dry year in 2011. During the April month was collected during the whole cycle more than a quarter of the rainfall, May was warm and the budding was very good. After the great drought during the summer, the ripeness was good due to the rains that arrived just in time in September and the thermal gap between the night and day. The wines has less body than 2011, but are fresher and balance.

CORIMBO 2012 in nose is intense with very fruit notes in the range of cherry, plum and blackberry. The delicate notes of the fine wood are perfectly integrated with the fruits that gives a cosy feeling. Slightly spicy in the line of the aromatic herbs in the pine forest and a clove background that makes it enigmatic.

In mouth is soft and very expressive with fine and fresh tannin and a very good texture. It is wraparound and caressing with the feeling of red fruits in which is emphasized the cherry. Without a doubt, it is a wine to enjoy for its elegance, its friendly character and its freshness.
