CLIMATIC CYCLE

The 2010 vintage was extraordinary with excellent ripeness and packed full of autumnal aromas whilst maintaining freshness.

The spring was colder than usual, with frosts in May that resulted in the loss of the first suckers and demanded cluster thinning.

Light showers in the middle of the harvest. Sweet tannins, an amazing quality with a fresh and floral character. Rainfall of 485mm.

TASTING

Colour:

Cherry red in colour, against a dark background with slight purple edging. Deep, intense colouring.

Nose:

Very intense and voluminous, yet elegant and polished.

The fruits of the vineyard and the grape harvest stand out strongly against the hint of ripeness, which is detected at the bottom.

Blackberries and damsons are clearly identificable against a background impression of aromatic plants flowering in the pine forest. A deep mineral note rounds off the aromatic profile of this magnificent wine.

Taste:

Voluminous, ample, filling the mouth with black fruits that give way to notes of aromatic plants and earthiness.

The wine finishes with a deep freshness, reminiscent of special qualities of the land during an excellent year. The 2010 harvest was magnificent at La Horra, contributing freshness and elegance against a background of impeccable maturity.

The fine, fresh tannins add character and class to the Corimbo range, which is a new interpretation of the classic Ribera del Duero.
