CLIMATIC CYCLE
The end of autumn was cold, with some snowfall in November, suggesting a harsh winter ahead which, in the end, proved to be quite the opposite. The beginning of the year was warm and dry, with unusually high temperatures in February and virtually no rainfall. Temperatures reached as high as 22°C on some days in February and almost 23°C in March. An early budbreak was expected, although April brought some relief with rain and cooler temperatures, helping to replenish soil water reserves. Budbreak took place around 2 May, followed by light frosts during the week of the 6th. Spring remained cool and dry, slightly delaying the growing cycle.
There was a small hailstorm on 3 June, although it caused very little damage to the grape clusters, followed by a heatwave at the end of the month. Wind during flowering, together with the intense heatwave, led to significant coulure in the bunches. July was also extremely warm, with record high temperatures for the region at that time.
A storm arrived two days before the start of harvest, but thanks to the loose bunch structure caused by the coulure, it had very little impact on grape health.
It was a low-yielding vintage, with small, loose bunches and outstanding quality.

Nose:
Highly intense, with remarkable depth and complexity. Layer upon layer unfolds to create a beautifully composed aromatic profile. The fruit character leans towards black fruits, led by plum and blackberry, with subtle hints of cassis.
There are mineral notes reminiscent of damp earth and limestone. A broad range of aromatic herbs from beneath the pine forest emerge — rockrose, marjoram and helichrysum. It is endlessly captivating on the nose, as the aromas continue to evolve and reveal new dimensions over time.
Palate:
From the very first sip, it conveys a sense of fullness — generous and expansive, yet filled with nuance, with the retronasal aromas present from the outset. The tannins are fine and noble, bringing elegance to this great Ribera del Duero wine. Sweet spices accompany the dominant black fruit notes, particularly plum and blackberry.
The aromatic herbs perceived on the nose also appear on the palate, alongside a mineral character that evokes the pine-covered landscape. The overall impression is deeply pleasurable, combining power with finesse, and finishing with remarkable length. It stands among the finest vintages of CORIMBO I that we have produced.
